A luxury safari to the Greater Kruger Park’s private lodges can be affordable while still enjoying a true African Safari experience. On this five-night nThambo Tree Camp and Shindzela Tented Camp Kruger Safari, you will stay under canvas and high up on a platform in the game-rich Klaserie for three nights. From there you will head to the game-rich Timbavati Private Game Reserve, where you will stay in comfortable safari tents, enjoying twice-daily game drives or mixing it up with an immersive walk through the Timbavati with experienced guides.
You will enjoy both game drives and bush walks at these rustic camps. This trip includes return scheduled flights from Johannesburg and all transfers.

Day by Day itinerary
Days 01 to 04 – nThambo Tree Camp
On arrival at the Hoedspruit airport, you will be transferred to the camp in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. nThambo Tree Camp is a small, 5 roomed, eco-friendly safari camp. Each room is a treehouse! Elevated on stilts the canvas and thatch rooms offer amazing views over the Klaserie bush. The rooms are comfortable and ensuite, with canvas walls and a front that can be fully opened to enhance the views.
Explore the Klaserie in search of the big 5 and a host of other animals, including wild dogs and cheetahs. The main area has a small splash pool which often attracts the elephants for a drink, a great boma area to enjoy a fireside chat in the evening and a comfortable lounge.
You will spend 3 nights at nThambo on this comfortable Kruger Safari.
Days 04 to 06 – Shindzela Tented Camp
After your morning game drive and brunch, you will be collected in a private vehicle for a transfer through the Klaserie and Timbavati Reserves to Shindzela Tented Camp. You will spend 2 nights in this wonderful tented camp that prides itself on creating an authentic and remarkable safari experience for its guests. Shindzela is eco-friendly with solar power. Each tent is nestled under a thatch roof, with a small deck area in the front. Each tent is en-suite with a semi-open shower.
Shindzela Tented Camp has a dining area, open plan lounge and bar area, that overlooks a small waterhole that attracts animals to drink. There is a pool to cool off in and a boma area for al fresco dinners under the stars. Game drives and exciting walking trails are offered at Shindzela. The walking trails are led by armed, experienced guides and take a few hours in the morning. This is not a serious hike, it is an informative, immersive walk that will focus on the amazing flora and fauna of the Timbavati.
The Timbavati Game Reserve is home to big cats, elephants, buffalo and much more. It is a wonderful safari area and the game viewing is consistently excellent.
After breakfast on your last morning, you will be transferred to the Hoedspruit Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg.
