Captivating & Comfortable
COMFORTABLE OKAVANGO AND KHWAI SAFARI
Get ready for an unforgettable Okavango and Khwai Safari that combines the best of both worlds: water-based and big-game safaris. Our carefully crafted itinerary showcases two distinct safari camps, ensuring you experience the Okavango Delta’s beauty without breaking the bank. Your safari begins at Mopiri Camp, nestled at the heart of the permanent delta’s stunning landscapes. Overlooking the Weboro Lagoon, Mopiri Camp lies between palm and fig trees and offers a stunning panoramic view of the Okavango Delta. Here, you’ll immerse yourselves in aquatic activities, including boat trips through winding papyrus channels and serene mokoro rides along shallow waters. The birdwatching opportunities are fantastic in this area.
After three captivating nights in the watery wonderland of the permanent delta, your safari takes you to the eastern corner of the Okavango Delta, where a drier habitat beckons, perfect for big game encounters. Nokanyana Camp, meaning “Little River,” awaits you, perched at the confluence of the Khwai and Mababe Rivers. Here, you can relax between activities and watch wildlife pass by. This intimate and laid-back camp provides an affordable base for exploring the area, with thrilling game drives to Moremi, Khwai, and the Mababe Depression.
A visit to Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls can be added with ease to this safari, either at the start or the end.
Comfortable Okavango and Khwai Safari rates 2024
Comfortable Okavango and Khwai Safari rates 2025
This trip starts and ends in the town of Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. The rate is per person sharing and includes 6 nights of accommodation, all meals, all game activities (water level permitting), all local drinks and park fees. This trip can start or end in Kasane, making Victoria Falls a perfect extension.
A note about water levels in the Okavango Delta – The main water source for the waterways and lagoons of the Okavango Delta comes from the Angolan highlands. This flood water starts arriving in the main Delta area in April or May. Parts of the Delta will dry up, making water activities impossible. It does however create an incredible game-watching opportunity. This safari is outstanding throughout the year. This will affect activities at the first two camps, but Setari Camp is on permanent water and therefore no changes in the activity options.
