This 7 night Kenya Safari starts in a private conservancy bordering Amboseli National Park. This conservancy is an important wildlife area, allowing animals to roam freely in and out of Amboseli National Park.
From Amboseli fly to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the greater Laikipia area. This part of Kenya is home to rhino and chimpanzee sanctuaries as well as boasting excellent Big 5 game viewing.
End this spectacular wildlife safari in the iconic Masai Mara for three nights in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy, part of the greater Masai Mara ecosphere. Big cats and big game await in the Masai Mara. Travel between July and October to witness the spectacular wildebeest migration.
This Highlights of Kenya Safari by Porini combines three Porini Safari Camps, all offering a low environmental impact and an authentic and high-quality safari. Starting with Porini Amboseli Camp in the Selenkay Conservancy, then Porini Rhino Camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, followed by Porini Lion Camp in the Olare Orok Conservancy adjacent to the Mara Reserve.
All camps are specially designed to have a minimum impact with no permanent structures. Expect spacious Meru style canvas tents, all with en-suite bathrooms and safari bucket showers, small and intimate camp with an excellent hosting team and run in partnership with local communities with environmentally sound principles. All camps run on solar power, with central charging stations in the main areas. Most do not have internet access.
This popular itinerary can be customised to match your budget and travel dates by adding/removing a few days or selecting different lodges. Rates differ during the seasons, with the highest from July to October.
Highlights of Kenya Safari Rates for 2022
Rates are per person sharing, based on 2 adults in a room. Rates include Accommodation, scheduled activities all meals, refreshments, local spirits, wines (excluding premium brands) & laundry service. Park fees, Airport Departure Tax and all government levies & taxes & 14% Value added Tax. All Scheduled light aircraft charter flights on a seat in plane basis per package details. Camps are closed from 16 April until 31 May.
Day 1 to 3 – Porini Amboseli Camp, Amboseli
Spend 2 nights at Porini Amboseli Camp, in the private Selenkay Conservancy. Follow the Masai warriors on a bushwalk to their village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Explore the conservancy looking for lions, elephants and more with day and exciting night game drive all through an exclusive wilderness area with no other tourist vehicles. Amboseli National Park is one of the best places in Kenya to see herds of elephants at close range and enjoy wonderful views of Kilimanjaro.
Fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport straight to the camp airstrip or the main Amboseli airstrip, depending on the time of year. A road transfer from Nairobi is also available, perfect for bigger groups. You will spend a day in the Amboseli National Park, complete with a picnic lunch, looking for the herds of elephants, the excellent birdlife and much more, with Mt Kilimanjaro as the backdrop. The evening sees you on a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats, and other species.
Porini Amboseli Camp is a charming camp, with solar lighting and ensuite facilities.
Day 3 to 5 – Porini Rhino Camp, Ol Pejeta
You will have an early morning start with a flight via Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Your guide will meet you and transfer you to Porini Rhino Camp, in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy at the foothills of Mount Kenya. Spend your time here on game drives and nature walks in search of the Big 5, along with antelope like the large eland. Visit Baraka the black rhino, Ol Pejeta’s ambassador and the most famous of rhinos or the chimpanzee rescue sanctuary.
Porini Rhino Camp is in a secluded valley, set in the forest of the banks of a seasonal river. Each tent has lovely views.

Day 5 to – Porini Lion Camp, Olare Motorogi Conservancy Masai Mara
Bid farewell to Ol Pejeta and wing your way south to the Masai Mara. You will spend 3 nights in the pristine Olare Motorogi Conservancy at Porini Lion Camp. This private wildlife conservation area forms part of the Greater Masai Mara ecosystem and is home to only a few safari lodges.
Enjoy unsurpassed game viewing with excellent big cat sightings of lion, cheetah and leopards. Other game to watch out for include resident hyena, giraffe, elephant, buffalo, zebra and gazelle. If you visit the Masai Mara from late June or early July through to October you could witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest cover the rolling hills.
You will spend one full day in the Maasai Mara National Park with a picnic lunch, while the rest of your time will be spent in the quieter conservancy on game drives, night drives and bush walks.
