Days 1 to 2: Intercontinental Hotel, Johannesburg
Upon arrival at Johannesburg Airport, check into the Intercontinental Johannesburg Airport. This conveniently located hotel offers modern comfort and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for resting after your journey. Enjoy a leisurely evening, perhaps indulging in a gourmet dinner at the hotel before preparing for your safari adventure.
Days 2 to 5: Londolozi Founders Camp, Sabi Sand
After breakfast, take a short flight to Londolozi Founders Camp in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Londolozi, meaning “to protect” in Zulu, is a pioneering force in conservation and is known for its remarkable leopard sightings. This luxurious lodge combines intimacy with immersive wildlife experiences, where each day begins and ends with thrilling game drives through over 16,000 hectares of pristine wilderness.
During your three nights here, you will set out at dawn and dusk, led by expert guides eager to share their extensive knowledge of the region. Keep your camera ready for encounters with the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, and buffalo—as well as hippos, giraffes, and various antelope species. Days 5 to 8: The Motse, Tswalu Kalahari
Next, fly to the expansive Tswalu Kalahari, South Africa’s largest private game reserve. Nestled at the foot of the Korannaberg Mountains, Tswalu Motse features nine spacious and beautifully appointed “legae” suites that provide a tranquil retreat.
During your three nights here, explore the Kalahari’s stunning landscapes and discover its unique wildlife. Look out for the elusive black rhinoceros, Kalahari lions with their iconic manes, and the entertaining meerkats that are sure to delight the whole family. The reserve is also home to rare species such as pangolins and aardvarks, making it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. This luxury safari camp is designed for couples and families. Indigenous gardens attract antelope and birds, while a waterhole near the main guest area draws a variety of wildlife, particularly during the dry season. After breakfast you will board your charter flight from Tswalu to the beautiful city of Cape Town. Transfer and spend 4 nights at the luxurious One&Only Waterfront.
