We are back home with hearts full of unforgettable memories. The trip you organized for us was truly outstanding, nine days of absolute heaven. Everything was beautifully planned and flawlessly executed, and we cannot thank you enough.
We absolutely loved all three camps, with Xugana, Camp Xakanaxa, and Savute each offering something special.
The new lodge at Xugana is simply beautiful, both in its design and its setting. The surrounding landscape, the walking safaris, and the water excursions were all exceptional experiences. What made it even more extraordinary was the feeling of being so personally cared for at times it felt almost like a private retreat, with an incredible team of around 30 people looking after just us and one other couple. Our guide at Xugana, Pound, was outstanding experienced, dynamic, and deeply knowledgeable. He truly elevated the entire experience.
In Xakanaxa, the lodge team was warm, attentive, and welcoming in every possible way. We had one stormy day when water entered the room and the safari had to be canceled, but despite this, we still enjoyed our time immensely, thanks to the wonderful atmosphere and care provided by the team.
Savute was exclusively exceptional and memorable. The lodge itself was excellent, the guiding by K.T. was superb, and the wildlife sightings were beyond expectations. We managed to check off virtually every animal and bird listed in our Okavango guidebook!
We were also deeply impressed by the values of Desert and Delta as a company. It was very clear that the staff are treated with respect and care, and that they genuinely love working there. We were particularly moved to see women in leadership roles, with female directors at both Savute and Xakanaxa, this meant a great deal to us.
Overall, this felt like a dream vacation, one we will cherish for a long time. Thank you, Michelle, for creating such a magical experience for us. We will most certainly be happy to write reviews and to recommend you wholeheartedly to others, and who knows, perhaps the safari bug will bite again sooner rather than later.
